Henri Landwirth’s story really touched me! I feel so inspired to accomplish my dreams. I see now, more than ever that anything is possible if you work hard towards it. This book will change a lot of lives! I know it has certainly changed mine!

Wow! Thank you Vonda for this wonderful gift! As a daughter who has spent her life trying desperately to be the ‘wind beneath the wings’ of a mother with grand desires and world vision, I read your book in an attempt to be more useful to her. I was not ready for the surprising and wonderful side effect. My own success became apparent as well as the great many things I have been doing to get in my own way… and therefore my mother’s! I can’t tell you how many times us kids (and there are eight of us!) made fun of mom for always writing her goals down on paper and taping it to the walls around our house growing up. Thank you for pointing out the importance of this exercise. I will never make fun of mom for ‘inking’ it again. As a matter of fact I have enthusiastically joined her! I certainly would recommend Success Against the Odds to anyone with a dream. Even a forgotten one… Thank you for sharing so candidly your story.

My 11 year old son has never done well in school because of bad behavior and not caring about doing well in school. I’ve tried many ways to help him. I do like some of the tips you’ve provided especially about writing down goals and helping him achieve them. Thankfully his school year just ended but I’ll work with him during the summer on achieving goals. Thanks!

I love this book! I was just thinking about how wonderful the title is and how pertinent to everyone’s unique situation. My brothers were autistic when my mom adopted them, she was told to expect institutions in their futures… Now three of the four live on their own, pay their own bills and survive broken hearts like everybody else, and not in an institution. Success Against the Odds! My brothers are now taking turns reading this important book. Thanks!

I want to tell you that I’ve read your book through for the first time. I feel like it has caused a shift of some sort already. I resigned my draining job on Monday. I am not sure what the next step will be, but I am sure that your “system” will play an integral and positive part. The whole idea of writing down my goals had escaped me, and now it’s consistently on my mind. I have already accomplished at least six specific goals — not career-related — but very satisfying and personally important, since receiving your book. In addition, all the comments about faith in God and in myself have been particularly special to me.
